Pink Rabbits represent the next level of the Evil Girl project. New, unbearably pink characters intrude their black and white world. At a first glance, these rabbit-like creatures, recognizable for their utter absence of mind and lost stare, appear as helplessly stupid and incapable of doing anything but aimlessly wander around leaving pink traces behind. But, any contact with them can be dangerous. Their intensive color is of a viral nature, and sticks to the viewers turning them also into rabbit-like pink creatures.
Installation titled Nobody is afraid of rabbits makes the first appearance of this character. In the gallery space one will be in position to see Evil Girls in the process of creating this new species, out of pure joy and boredom, as a bizarre experiment, a funny illustration of their own silliness, still unaware of the danger that the Rabbits present to them. In an ambient that simulates a semi dark laboratory equipped with old computers, several flash animations will show the ways in which the Pink Rabbits were generated, their major anatomical characteristics, and testing of their successfulness as a species, as well as the attempt of generating an idyllic world they are to inhabit. Besides these digital presentations, made as a simulation of the manner of functioning of a dysfunctional program named Evil Girls Rabbit Creator Professional 2008, the gallery will contain a number of plaster samples of so far created Rabbits, as well as a couple of Evil Girls.
Once made and put into action, these endlessly stupid Rabbits will for sure manage to run away from the gallery as lab. It is to be witnessed how they will evolve further, how the Evil Girls will react to that, and what kind of strategies will they use to defend themselves from the creatures they have made themselves.
